The set of methods, principles, policies and technology deployed to run Igb are inspired by WCM (World Class Manufacturing) principles.

While the mass of competing companies are pursuing “simple” cost reductions and economies of scale, Igb puts the role of the company and its integration with staff and the surrounding environment at the centre of its philosophy.

Stiffer and more global competition stimulates the emergence of new production management patterns which must take changing market and customer needs into account. Sustainability, ecology and worker safety are but a few examples.

In a context of uncertainty, Igb’s long-term target is making profits and expanding its market share through the close involvement of staff and suppliers in order to achieve excellence in customer satisfaction.

Processes, materials, people and technologies are managed with the sole aim of total customer satisfaction both in terms of product reliability and continuity and repeatability in deliveries.
Based on technical know-how, quality and reliability of products, services and processes, this approach is aimed at consolidating long-term relationships with technical-commercial interlocutors.

This objective could not be achieved without direct control and the consequent thorough integration of the printing and converting processes over the entire production chain. This integration is attained by investment in top technology - in order not to overload the business structure - and with the development of lean and certified processes, governed by carefully trained staff.

Igb is of course ISO 9001:2008 certified, operates according to the GMP model and is currently undergoing FSC and PEFC certification. This is why Igb packages the products of the most renowned brands in its target markets: pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and confectionery.

The Igb quality ethic produces the following results in terms of product and service quality:

  • repeatability
  • uniformity
  • traceability
  • machinability
  • food-grade quality
  • rapidity and punctuality
  • environmental impact reduction
